ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027

Where to stay in Pretoria for the Cricket World Cup 2027

Matches near Pretoria are played at SuperSport Park in Centurion, which sits between the two big Gauteng cities. That opens up more options than the venue alone suggests — from Centurion itself to a single base back in Johannesburg.

Last verified: 24 July 2026. Venue-specific fixture dates are omitted until the ICC confirms the full schedule.

The venue

SuperSport Park, Centurion

SuperSport Park is in Centurion, roughly midway between Pretoria and Johannesburg. It's an established international ground with a grass embankment down one side, and match days here lean towards the easy-going.

Getting around

Airport and transport

Nearest airport
O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB). O.R. Tambo handles most international arrivals and connects to Centurion and Pretoria on the Gautrain, which has stations at Centurion and Hatfield.
Getting around
With Gautrain stations at Hatfield and Centurion, moving between Pretoria, Johannesburg and the airport is straightforward. For anything closer to hand, ride-hailing is simplest. A hire car only earns its keep if you're heading further afield.
Season
Sitting a little lower than Johannesburg, Pretoria runs slightly warmer in spring. October and November days are pleasant, with the same odds of a storm rolling in late in the afternoon.

Timing

Booking and cancellation

Because the ICC has not yet confirmed the full match schedule, the safest approach is to favour flexible, free-cancellation rates so you can hold a place now and adjust once fixtures and tickets are announced. Non-refundable rates are cheaper but carry that risk while dates are unconfirmed.
